On a cloudy day the sun was not visible, its golden rays hidden from the expectant, yet absent mind. Did the sun rise that day? If success is in what we see, then was the sun successful that day?
The question then is “what is success?”. Your answers may reveal some truths but is there a metric for success. Many will argue along the lines of material wealth as a sign of success or the level of academic qualification as a level of success. If this is the case then the vast majority of people will be considered “not successful”. The question that immediately comes to mind is whether the natural fit to “not successful” is “failure”.
The sun was hidden from the skies as the clouds crowded it and prevented the sun from being clearly visible. The sun was there and effort was made but the sun was not successful in showing its normal sunshiny splendour. Was the sun a failure? Few will argue that this last question is not fair. Why do we judge everyone on the same scale while they may have performed wonders but fall short on the metrics of success? This harsh reality prevents more people from being contributors because anything less than the metric (of success) is not deemed success. However, it is the intention and effort that must be applauded. In this way people will learn and grow, their self-esteem will be raised rather than battered, they will be productive to the benefit, not only of themselves, but to society.
Your success is in what you set out to do and your efforts in this regard. You will have carefully planned everything and taken the necessary guidance. Success is not an overnight game but a life of meaningful living. Taken guidance and plan well, then go forth confidently, exerting yourself smartly to your fullest – that deserves consideration for success.
