The raging fire cast the mountain in bright orange as the dark grey smoke hovers above it. A scene being witnessed in Cape Town in reality. And while questions are being asked about that fire, let us take some lesson from the brightly lit scene.

You will have been in awe as you looked onto the mountain and the normally greenish, greyish mountain was alight. The colour was attractive to the eye, but, in truth, you knew that there was enormous devastation as a result. The first lesson we draw that there are some benefits from fire, in general, such as light, warmth and a means to cook food. This is good when the fire is small and controlled. The runaway fire, though, was out of control and mercilessly devoured almost everything in sight. While there are positives to a seemingly uncontrollable fire, you may be overwhelmed by the sheer brutal wiping out of vegetation and buildings. This is the fire inside you too. Your desires and your ego make for a bad combination of fire and brimstone. You will burn some people or somethings along the way to satisfying your worldly desires. You may yourself feel the brunt of a flame that is cast back in your direction even though it is your fire. The more desires you have running through your veins, the greater the fire you create with this unending fuel. How to a satiate our desires?

Another reason for a fire raging is because of rage itself. Or is it that you rage because of the fire inside? It is best to smile at this point because it douses the anger that you sometimes display. The saying that you reach boiling point and then explode is the meekest way of understanding it but a rather good way. Fire devours and, at times, subconsciously you want to devour someone with your fury by flashing the flames, from within, into their pathway. There are always casualties from the furious rage. You will feel your energy sapped and someone may be bruised or badly damaged. It is an uncontrollable fire until you put things in place be able to avoid unnecessary devastation. Anger is not all bad but understand the consequences and know that playing with fire is dangerous.

The fire on the mountain left little to rescue. Who started the fire? In your case, it is always you. The world out there merely feeds the flame inside of you while you let your guard down. There are always consequences, the size and value may yet be undetermined.
