There is light at the end of the tunnel. There is a pot of gold at the foot of the rainbow. Every cloud has a silver lining. And yet deep down you don’t believe it. Your heart did not miss a beat nor did your pulse start racing as you read these lines. It is that you have doubts which threatens your belief and causes some of your energies to be drained.
The biggest stumbling block to setting goals is belief. Every goal must have a purpose and it is this purpose, this cause that will drive you on when little doubts kick in. Have the faith and conviction to take on the challenge and don’t settle for second best. We are not talking about being in competition with others but rather about being the best you can be. We all have different goals depending where we are at in our lives – some just need to be stronger – some need to be better in their relationships – some need to find spirituality – some need to build bonds.
You may misunderstand some traits that will be good for you – you may find it confusing, even contradictory e.g. confident yet humble, confident yet not arrogant, sweet yet not a walkover, and there are many others. Life is forever changing and the challenges become greater. Your belief is the starting point for setting out on your goal. Your plan is well-researched and is according to your understanding. It may not all go swimmingly yet there is always room for adjustment. Sure, the saying “there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow” is not real like that, but it also indicates to a hope and desire to go in search of what you want of beauty, of love, or success, of achievement. You are different to the others in that you have your dreams and aspirations, but more importantly is that you must be different to the masses who do not set out to do more, to achieve more, to be happy and to share more happiness.
So on a dark cloudy day, remember the clouds will lift and pass by and the sun will come out. On your long journey through life you will encounter dark tunnels but indeed there is light at the end of the tunnel. Clouds may be hanging over you from time to time, but see the opportunity in it for many a cloud has a silver lining. See the rainbow with its most beautiful inspiring colours and let that be your driving force to get your pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
