I am sure you know how to eat an elephant. This is how you approach life and all its building blocks. Some may eat the elephant faster than others because they have a healthier appetite and excellent metabolism. No one eats an elephant with one gulp, at least not a normal sized elephant, but you eat an elephant with one bite at a time.

But really now. You actually do have an elephant in your room? The elephant in the room is simply that your expectations, or maybe the expectations of you, and your goals are mismanaged. You do something because it is expected of you to achieve while it creates unnecessary anxiety. On the other side of the spectrum, the person with potential, plays “dumb” only to escape making the effort to achieve goals and being accountable. The balance lies in the management of you and your goals. Take a leaf out of the busy bee whose goal is to contribute to the making of honey. Get on your knees and observe the ant scouting for food. What role is he playing? So, you will read this and miss the point. You know that it is actually the goal of this post.  There are many lessons rolled into this short note. So, I leave this thought with you: Are you asking enough questions? Are you asking the right questions and are you posing the questions to the right people?

You must have a goal and you must strive for success. Don’t make success the elephant in the room. Ah, there is something on which to chew.
