Defining yourself

The best method of teaching is by example. The best way to be a good example is to believe in your words and actions. The best way to believe in your words and actions is to understand. The best way to understand is to learn always.

Those who are parents are naturally examples to their children, be it good examples or bad. You will have friends, perhaps siblings and colleagues, all of whom you can influence with your example. Of course, there may be one or two people who can indeed influence you and that is all part of your learning. People study and embark on careers which are meticulously planned. Weddings, parties and other functions are planned with attention to minute details.  Yet, here you are, on an earthly journey, which in most cases exceed sixty years. However, for this life itself, there is, for many, little planning. Sure, you plan for parts of it, but your life is about you. Were you to concentrate a little more on yourself, then the other important matters will, in fact, be easier. No, you don’t have to be meticulous to plot the finest of details, but there are varying degrees of depth that each may consider, as long as it is not too shallow. Simply put, you look at your personality and you look at what is your ideal person (as in the ideal you) and then work on that. It is not about new years resolutions that hardly get off the ground. It must be integral in your life to continually seek improvement and refinement. The converse to this is to allow everybody and everything to dictate the course of your life. There is a plan to be made. That plan must define you as a person. It will influence your thinking. Your thinking will guide your health, your outlook on life, your relationships. It will give your heart a chance to concentrate on what it does best, love and spirituality.

This is one thing that every person can do. Define yourself and work to be the ultimate definition of yourself in motion.
