Life is busy. Entertainment is also considered as being busy. Then there is that important task of “doing nothing”. Do you allocate time for your spirituality? In all this, everyone is busy. Many are pre-occupied with success while the word more befitting is survival. Now it is about concepts.

Success is relative, of course. It is in living life as an adult that you are confronted with many issues. Issues such as finances, marriage, schooling for the kids and so much more. You not only have to balance the “cheque book”, but you need to look at the ever-changing laws and regulations of government and it impact on you, your family and your community. You need to consider changes in societal norms and, in the South African context, crime. If, in this scenario, success is the goal, then is, for the majority, survival success? And what does survival even mean? The importance to understand these concepts is greater than ever before. What should be your main focus?  Does success mean your have risen above the many issues that affect almost everyone? Do you confine success to a particular discipline or part of your life? These questions are important so that you can reflect on it and bring meaning to the relevant concepts.

Are principles important in your life and can that sway matters from survival to success and vice versa. The matter of principles is relative to your understanding of what the ideal life should be. Hence, when you are bombarded with changes, are you prepared for it? Do you know how to prepare for it? This message is simply to ask whether you are too busy to look at life and determine how these concepts of success and survival impact you. It is better to reinforce the wall than to pick up the broken damaged pieces. You can go with the flow not knowing where the current will take you or prepare your journey fully conscious and aware.
