In the south, the southern hemisphere that is, it seemed like it was a long winter. Your body feels like it is wrapped in a sheet of ice and still the energies are used mostly for warmth. Some have happily taken the opportunity to rest their brains. The use of social media went into overdrive as you snuggled under the warm blankets and thoughts of leaving the house, at this point, were quickly dismissed.

Hibernation is not common in humans but if there is one thing everyone learnt in school was that animals, some animals, hibernate in winter. You learn things from observing and listening. This does not necessarily mean there is understanding. So, what would you rather have: information dressed as education or understanding. Understanding allows you to interrogate the information which will place it into categories such as fact, theory or lies. The average school-leaver will not have acquired this education and may never. This is a stumbling block to your own growth and development and the potential to contribute to society. The door to this is not shut, but you either consciously make the effort to step out from your situation or you are blessed with unsolicited guidance. Of the dangers of not having this skill in your arsenal is that you may not reach your goals, you may miss crucial concepts and/or you may end up being fodder for propaganda. You will enslave yourself to popular thinking rather than developing yourself and being armed with solid factual information.

The world is tough out there and many will survive without this solid skill of understanding and reason. However, the smart one can engage, can reason and is generally well-rounded.
