A paradox of life is that you can die at any time, but you must live life and not wait for the moment of death. You are not aware when you will die until that moment arrives. Every breath may be your last or it may be the first of many more long years. The saying is that you should plant the seed you have in your hand even, if at that moment, all life on earth comes to an end. You should strive to your utmost until your very end. May your life be long and fruitful.

And in that desire that your life be fruitful, it requires the appropriate attention, consideration, education and action. Two main points need further elaboration. You will not be able to take the wealth with you when you die. Sure, you can place it in huge pyramids believing that it will follow you to the life hereafter, but you are aware of the Pharaohs’ failure to achieve that. So, you can leave your wealth as a legacy to your offspring. Some of your offspring may use it as a benefit, not only for themselves, but for many others. Yet, most will squander the wealth and/or their lives. In this case, that should not be the legacy you want. The ideal legacy is one where those you leave behind, have benefited from you such that your efforts have value for many people. The start of it is in you developing a culture of continual self-reflection and self-development. The task is enormous, but with every breath it is an opportunity to continue to strive to your utmost. Having a teacher, a mentor, a coach cannot be relegated only to those learners and students at school and university. The person focused on true success will always be a student and a protégé.

Procrastination is the thief of time. The intention is good. It now requires action.
