You can be twenty percent better than you are right now. Sure, this is all relative to where in life you are currently positioned. But beyond looking for absolute movement, it is your general approach to life and its components that is the focal point. You may generally be good at what you do, in fact likely excellent, but often, that does not translate to all aspects of your life. There are a few reasons for this.

It is noted that you can be the expert at everything, but you really do want your life to be different, to be better. No one can judge you for where you are in life or what path you have chosen (of course, we are not talking about a path of crime and corruption). You can always benefit from an improved thought process. You cannot refer every matter in your life to an expert. This means you must be able and willing to make certain decision which will impact your life, and you are doing it. But can you be better at it? Decisions may also impact family, or it may impact your colleagues or the organisation of which you are a part. Not every decision will be perfect, or it may be incorrect but, importantly, the process and approach to that decision was effective. For most people there is no process, or the process is seriously flawed, and they can definitely benefit from a change in process and approach. The few that are better at this, are those with real leadership skills.

The reality with decision making is that it start with who you are as a person. It depends on how you have developed your thought process to this point. What are some of the factors that play a role in your decisions and how meaningful are those factors. Regrets lead to atoning, in a way, for mistakes and that is something positive. What about those who unmindful of the lifelong mistakes they make? Either way, the correct thought process can make you a better person.
